Recently, near The Strand Luxury Apartments, the Canon owners opened a new French-inspired wine bar and cafe called Franquette. Their menu includes a wide range of delicious French eats throughout the day from walnut frangipane croissants for breakfast, to tuna confit salad with brown butter hazelnut vinaigrette for lunch, Boulettes de canard (duck meatballs) for dinner, and an apple Tarte Tatin for dessert! Go for a Walk

This beautiful park has the best scenic views! They feature a waterfront space, a promenade, a grand staircase, picnic areas, and views of the skyline and of Old Sacramento. Additionally, RiverWalk park offers free parking and a kid and dog-friendly community. 

The Tower Bridge is another great spot to spend the afternoon! Just under 2 miles from The Strand, it’s perfect for walking along with friends and family during the day or night. This historic bridge across the Sacramento River links West Sacramento with Yolo County. Afterward, walk on over to Belfast for coffee and cakes for a quick little stop!

Check Out an Art Museum

The Crocker Art Museum is another great way to spend the day with friends and family that features a display of California Art with renowned European master artwork from drawings to ceramic art pieces. Go to Wine Tasting

Lastly, if you’re looking for a full day’s worth of activity, about 10 miles away from The Strand, is a winery called Silt Wine Company in Clarksburg, Sacramento. This beautiful winery offers an experience of a lifetime with tours and wine tasting at the family vineyards! Tasting room hours are Thursday – Monday from 12 to 5 pm.
