Christmas Movie Must-Watch List

One of the easiest ways to bring a little bit of Christmas cheer into your home is by cuddling up in some comfortable Pjs and putting on a great Christmas movie. This is something you can do alone, with your friends or with your family. Either way, you’re bound to have a great time.

A great way to make your Christmas movie night a little more festive is by cooking some fun Christmas-themed treats and decorating your apartment beforehand. The glow of the lights of your Christmas tree will reflect off of your tv while you watch your movie of choice. Grab a comfy blanket, make a fun snack, pick out a movie to stream and enjoy!

Home Alone

We’re starting off the list of must-watch Christmas movies with a classic movie Home Alone. This holiday classic stars Macaulay Culkin as an 8-year-old who finds himself all alone for the holidays.

If you haven’t seen this classic already, you’ll have to watch to find out the next events that unfold. This heart-warming movie is a great movie to watch with your friends or family. Stream it on Amazon video now.

Frosty the Snowman

If you’re planning a movie night with younger children, you can’t go wrong with a movie like Frosty the Snowman. This cheerful classic has great songs to sing along with and has an endearing story to please any crowd.

Elf

If you’re looking for a laugh this holiday season, you’re sure to find one while watching Elf starring Will Ferrel. This early 2000’s movie has yet to get old and takes a hilarious yet heartful take on the origin of Christmas.

Follow Buddy, played by Will, as he journeys away from the North Pole to find his way into the real world. His story takes many turns and will keep you on the edge of your seat. Edward Scissorhands

A great Tim Burton classic that also happens to be one of the best Christmas movies is Edward Scissorhands, starring Johnny Depp. Edward, created at the hands of a scientist is found by a loving suburban saleswoman, who decides to take him under her wing. As the title suggests, Edward is a little different than most people and struggles to fit in. Watch his journey of trying to fit into the everyday life of a suburban town on Hulu now.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Another Tim Burton classic that ties into the Christmas season is The Nightmare Before Christmas. This movie tells the tale of Jack Skellington, Halloweentown’s beloved pumpkin king. He accidentally stumbles on Christmastown and he gets a new lease on life. He plots to bring Christmas under his control, but his plan get’s complicated when he meets his match. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

What kind of must-watch Christmas movie list would be complete without including How The Grinch Stole Christmas? Watch Jim Carrey’s character, the grinch, start off with a cold heart and attempt to ruin the traditional celebrations of Whoville, the city below his mountain top home.

His plan to destroy the holiday takes a turn when he’s met with his match, a small hoo girl. This movie is a perfect crowd-pleaser. Watch on Netflix whenever you’re ready to get festive.
